Xiaomi HyperOS 4 on Android 17: which month your phone is scheduled

Xiaomi published a three-window schedule for HyperOS 4 covering 82 phones and tablets. Where Xiaomi 14, 13 and Redmi Note 14 land, and what the dates really are.

Xiaomi has published a global schedule for stable HyperOS 4, the version built on Android 17. Android Authority, writing on November 3, counts 82 phones and tablets across Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO, split into three windows: early November, mid-November and December. Xiaomi's own schedule page is at mi.com/global/event/2026/hyperos-2026, but it refused our automated request, so the device lists below come from Android Authority's reading of it, not from our own look at Xiaomi's page.

The three windows

As Android Authority lists them, the early November window is mostly current hardware: the Xiaomi 17 line, the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra, the Redmi Note 17 and Note 15 families, several POCO F8, X8 and M8 models, and the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro.

Mid-November covers the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro, the POCO F9 and F7 families, and tablets such as the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro.

December is where the older phones sit: the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra, the Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro and 13 Ultra, the 14T and 13T lines, the Redmi Note 14 family, Redmi 15, the POCO F6 and F6 Pro, and the Xiaomi MIX Flip.

If your phone is not in any of the three groups, nothing in this schedule says it is coming. That is not the same as saying it is excluded for good, and Xiaomi has not said anything about it in the coverage we found.

What the dates are, and what they are not

Android Authority describes the windows as rollout starting windows rather than guaranteed installation dates, and says availability can vary by device and region. So "December" means the update may begin to appear for your model that month. It does not mean it is on your phone on December 1, and with a staged release two owners of the same phone can see it days or weeks apart.

The same caution applies to the word "stable". The announcement is for the stable build. Beta and test builds that some owners already run are a separate track, and moving from one to the other can mean a reset, so check Xiaomi's instructions before switching.

What changes if you have an older Xiaomi

If you own a Xiaomi 14 or 13, the useful fact is that you are on the list at all, even if it is the last window. Most of the visible change in a major Android upgrade is the new system version underneath plus Xiaomi's own interface layer; Xiaomi has not, in the coverage we read, said that every HyperOS 4 feature reaches every older model. Features that lean on newer chips or sensors are the usual ones to be held back, as with the One UI 9 rollout on Galaxy phones.

Before the update arrives, it is worth doing the same preparation as for any major upgrade: free up storage (a major version download is large), back up the phone, and charge it above half. If you are not sure where the update check lives or why it stays empty, our guide to why an Android update is not showing up covers the staged-rollout reasons and the Settings path.

Should you do anything today

No. Nothing in a schedule requires action before your window opens. Open the system update screen in Settings once or twice a week when your month starts, and do not install from unofficial sources to get ahead of the queue: that is how people end up with a build for a different region, or a phone that no longer takes official updates cleanly.

What is still unknown is whether any date will move. Xiaomi has not said, and rollout schedules from Android makers have slipped before, so treat the month as a target.

If your phone is not on the list, or your window passes with no update, the checks in the update troubleshooting guide tell you whether it is a rollout delay or a support problem.
