Dyson showed ten machines at a launch event in Berlin on September 3, and they land in four different parts of the house: floor cleaning, air purification, oral care and hair care. An announcement that wide is built to be read as one big moment. It is more useful read as four small ones, because almost nobody owns a Dyson in all four categories.
The short version for an owner: none of this reaches the machine you already have. No part of it arrives as a firmware update. What the lineup does tell you is which direction Dyson has picked for each family, and that is the thing worth knowing on the day one of yours dies.
The ten, in one place
- Robots. R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV, R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry and R1 Nurovi Dry — wet and dry, mop, and dry only.
- Hard floors. W1 PencilWash + Dok, a second pass at the slim wet cleaner.
- Air. HushJet Big+Quiet Cool Pure+ Formaldehyde, HushJet Pure Cool+ Formaldehyde and HushJet Hot Cool Pure+.
- Personal care. The CameraJet toothbrush, the Corrale Coolshine straightener and the Airsmooth dryer brush.
Every name and figure below is Dyson's own, taken from the company's announcement. This site has no lab and has not handled any of these machines.
The robots are the actual news
Three at once, sold as a range rather than one model, which is a heavier commitment than a single flagship. Dyson claims 30,000 Pa for the R3 and 21,000 Pa for the R1, and says the R3 has 65 percent more suction pressure than the robot it replaces. Treat those for what they are: a pressure figure each company measures its own way, worth something inside one brand's range and close to meaningless across brands. It is also not the number that decides whether debris comes off a carpet.
The mopping detail is more concrete. Dyson says the R2 heats water at its dock to 167°F, or 75°C, and the R3 to 158°F, or 70°C, and that the R3 adds UV to its stain detection and can identify around 200 household substances. How the three are split, and which one is aimed at which floor, is a piece of its own. The segment is not empty ground either: the current Roborock flagships are several generations into the same problems.
PencilWash is a revision, not a new idea
The W1 PencilWash + Dok follows the slim wet floor cleaner Dyson introduced earlier in 2026. Dyson lists a more absorbent roller, a reworked waste system and a dock that cleans the roller. If you own the first one, that list is informative: complaints about a wet cleaner are almost never about the cleaning and almost always about what happens when you finish — where the dirty water goes, and whether the roller dries or sits damp until next time.
HushJet is a nozzle that spread across a whole line
HushJet started on a compact purifier and is now the shape of the air range: a large purifier-fan, a mid-size one, and a 3-in-1 that heats as well. For the largest, Big+Quiet Cool Pure+ Formaldehyde, Dyson claims capture of 99.999 percent of pollutants as small as 0.01 microns through three-stage filtration, and says the mid-size Pure Cool+ Formaldehyde purifies up to three times more powerfully than what it replaces.
Read the filtration figure for what it describes: the filter, on the manufacturer's own test. It is not a statement about your room. What decides whether a purifier does anything where you live is how often it can turn over that room's air in an hour, and that depends on its size, its ceiling and whether the door stays open. If you already own a Dyson purifier, a new nozzle on a new machine does not make yours worse; the only thing worth checking is that filters for your model are still sold.
The one item aimed at people who already bought
Alongside the hardware, Dyson announced service commitments under the MyDyson banner that it calls Never Without Your Dyson: an onboarding concierge, technical support and repairs at its Demo stores, and a loan machine while yours is being repaired. Dyson did not say which countries get which parts of it, or when — and that is the whole thing, because a repair promise is worth about as much as the distance to the nearest store. It is still the only part of the announcement addressed to people who already own something.
What is not confirmed
- Dates and countries. Dyson's announcement did not state availability dates or regions. The dates circulating for the robots and the purifiers come from outlets rather than from the company, and a launch in one market is not a launch in yours.
- Any independent measurement. Every number above is a manufacturer claim. Nobody outside Dyson has published measurements of these machines.
- How the R2 is sold. Reports describe it launching through a single retailer in the United States. Dyson's own announcement does not mention retailers.
- The personal-care claims. Dyson states up to 154 percent more shine for the Corrale Coolshine against untreated hair, and says the CameraJet does not record or store its images. Both are the company describing its own product.
Ten machines in one morning reads as momentum, and probably is. It is not a reason to replace anything that still works.
The question worth asking after an announcement this wide is not whether ten machines are impressive. It is which of your own is closest to dying, because that is the only category where any of this turns into a decision. If the answer is the floor, the three robots are worth taking apart one at a time, and the big suction figure on the box deserves a lot less weight than it gets.
